Near the turn of the century, the Verde Canyon Railroad was built to support the copper mining community of Jerome. Now you can ride this historic route from Clarkdale to the ghost ranch of Perkinsville on the Verde Canyon Railroad. The four-hour tour winds around the Verde Canyon on old-fashioned trestles past the scenic beauty of the Verde Valley, near ancient Indian ruins, and bald eagle nests that are only accessible by railroad. Complimentary appetizers and beverages will accompany your seat in a first class rail car as you listen to expert guides share historic, archaeological and geological points of interest and Indian lore.
