Zaki Films

Yesterday I went to the Zaki Gordon Institue for Independent Film Making to see some short films at their end of the year presentation. A friend of mine had his short film showing. I really enjoyed seeing the creativity that went into making these shorts. I don’t know much about film making, but I can recognize talent and imagination.  My friend’s piece, Persu.CO, was about a box man, who falls in love with a box that gets taken by the VPS shipping company. The box man has to find his lost box. It was cute, funny and clever.

Another highlight, having nothing to do with the movies, was the food at the Reel Cafe. I had a Mediterranean Plate, which featured humus, babaganoush and a pasta salad that was really quite amazing.

They are showing films today as well. If you have some free time I would check it out.
