Celebration of Spring

Spring is here and there couldn’t be more to celebrate. The weather is perfect, the sun is shining, the flowers are staring to bloom, and the trails are beautiful! Sedona is having a Celebration of Spring on April 7th from 9am – 12pm at Posse Ground Park. There will be inflatable toys for the kids, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, hay ride and much more for a $2 admission fee for all attendees. The Easter bunny will also stop on by for picture taking (address & directions).

Dog Park Complete

I’m so excited to report that the Sedona Real Inn & Suite’s dog park is finished. We have gravel  trails to stroll on with your pet. Shady areas under the trees to keep cool in the warmer months. Pic-nic benches and tables to sit at. You could read a book, or use the charcoal grill if you want to BBQ.  What’s great is we also have a pet station with clean up bags so we will keep the area clean and fresh for all of our pet guests. Hope to see you and your furry friends there!

Meet the Concierge! Debbie has been working with our team at the Sedona Real for more than 7 years! She is an expert on Sedona and all of the fun things to do in the area. She can help you out with tours, restaurants and my favorite…hiking! She wrote a little bit about a trail we got out on last week. Hope you enjoy!

A couple of friends and I took an awesome hike to the top of Scheurman Mountain last week.  The mountain is rather drab to look at, but the views we got as we climbed were incredible.   The hike is about one mile each way with an elevation gain of 350 feet.   There was a section that was fairly steep but the overall hike is rated moderate.  When we reached the top, we were able to meander around to a couple of different points for panoramic vistas reaching from Cathedral Rock to Thunder Mountain.  This is an awesome hike for photographers, especially in the afternoon when the sun starts reflecting on the rocks.  As an added plus, the trail head is only one mile from the hotel, located just behind the Sedona Red Rock High School off of Upper Red Rock Road.

The New Suites are Here!

Our remodel at the Sedona Real Inn & Suites is complete! Our Real Double Queen Suites with and without patio, our Real King Suites and our 1.5 bedroom suites have been redone top to bottom with new carpet, furniture, larger flat screen TVs, and granite counter tops.

What I love is when you walk into the rooms they look brighter than they used to. Just love that feeling of walking into a clean fresh suite. We have been updating our traditional rooms with new granite as well.

Check out my pics and hopefully you will get a chance to check out our rooms and suites in person again soon.

The 4 Deadly Sins of Hiking Class! Free at The Hike House!

The Hike House is one of my favorite places in Sedona. This is one of the only places to go and learn about hiking in Sedona, from people who really love what they do and know about the trails. What’s great is they have the Sedona Trail Finder which is a high definition, interactive technology system that can “marry your abilities and desires” with 1 of over 100 trails in the Sedona Hiking Trail System. It’s fun to figure out what trail is best for you.
